19th C CHINESE TEA BOX SOLD

Very beautiful lacquered wooden tea box made in China for the European market, exceptional for its size. Its lid is remarkable for its raised ribs dividing it into eight parts superbly decorated with golden patterns. Note that the tin boxes inside are often a little distorted. Good condition.
