LACQUERED WOODEN BOX WITH MOTHER OF PEARLS TOKEN

Superb 19th century lacquered wooden box (made in China for the European market) containing 5 boxes with lids also decorated with patterns painted in gilding (4 square and one rectangular in the center). The set is in good condition. This box contains 90 round tokens, 223 large and 54 small rectangular tokens. Or 367 tokens in all, the vast majority in perfect condition. All the tokens are finely engraved with different decorations and are all perforated at the edge.

Width 28 cm. Depth 16 cm. Height 5cm. It contains four small boxes of 3.5 cm in height, width 9 cm, depth 7 cm and a box of 3.5 in height, width 13.5 cm, depth 8 cm.
