Late 19th century Pair of small cloisonne vases ( Cloisonne is a goldsmithing technique that was first applied to jewelry before applying to metal vases and certain ceramics and other enamel decoration items. The objects produced by this technique are also called cloisonne.

This involves identifying the outline of the patterns using a thin metal strip welded to the metal field. The cells thus obtained are filled with enamel. The whole is then cooked and sanded.
